the twenty three souls that squigs took had been put into a small jar that he put inside of a bag. since he was going to be away the longest he took out two of the souls and walked on while they followed him and formed into their new bodies. squigs smiled akwardly, he wasnt used to the muscles and wires that helped his facial muscles move, and it had only been by luck that he managed not to screw up anything he had been trying to say. the first of the two souls squigs had taken out merle formed into a skeliton. but it was the size of the skeliton that took the snake like creature by surprise. the energy that surrounded the souls bones was quickly and quietly sucked into the bones and rib cage giving it the apearance that the soul was wearing a skeliton suit and had a case of the shingles. "my my my!" squigs said excitedly as the skeleton moved jerkily this way and that, trying its best to move while its stride was beginning to increase step by step. "look what we have here! i dare say that you are in fact the most intriguing one of us all!" the skeleton stopped moving for just a second and turned its massive skull towards squigs voice. "ME... NOT... FULLY... FORMED... NEED... MORE... TIME." the voice of the soul said as the bones crumbled to dust and the soul returned to the size of a beach ball. "very well then, but i suggest that you start with the appearance first dear friend! i myself am only being held together by the very thing you see." the second soul however, had been formed all along and was highly motivated to do whatever it was that squigs had been doing all along. "WERE WALKING!" it said in a cheerfull tone of voice as the form of the second soul warbled and flowed like a babbling brook. it had a rather fancy idea of the form it wanted to take, but it took a chance anyways. its main body consisted of a slightly blue thick liquid that was being held in place by only fifteen black orbs with intricate designs on them. it had eyes but found it rather amusing to see squigs try to make eye contact and have to look around. "my name is squigs, a pleasure to meet you! what might your name be?" the liquid like creature thought about it for only a second before answering rather lazily. "my name? jeez... i dont think i really have one. but i guess you could call me ashford!" squigs looked at ashford rather questioningly before coming to the conclusion that any other questions would be met with by the same attitude. "so why are we walking?" ashford asked high spirited. "i do believe that we are walking to find more suitable grounds to start a colony, i am one of the three leaders of the stogh, the other two are slim, whos busy making the place where our souls came to be more suitable for habitation. the last of the trio is cero, shes got wings and she the only one who can reach the sky flarn anytime she wants to." ashford looked up at where squigs was pointing and was wide eyed at the sight of the massive sky flarn that seemingly took up half the sky. "oh my.... how terribly interesting!" ashford heard the giant creature moan and complain about caviar being serve at not the right tempreture, followed by a bunch of soft thudding noises and a bunch of yelling. "wow. thats all im saying. so now that were down here, what the fuck do we do?" squigs looked up at the now unconcious sky flarn that was falling towards them. and also at that exact moment in time squigs first choice for a soul finaly got his form right. at the wrong time since the flarn landed smack dab on him as well as four miles of mountains, flat ground, and pretty much caused the big spiky area that the stogh colony was sposed to be living to fall towards the north east. ashford, squigs and the new more sturdier soul flew off the spiked ball at what felt like a thousand miles on hour and watched with horror as the ball slammed against the ground and rolled out of sight as they fell nearly to there deaths. ceros had been racing towards them full tilt. "HANG IN THERE GUYS! IM COMING FOR YOU!" she shouted at the top of her lungs. "not like we have a choice!" she heard them say, she caught up to them but was only able to rescue two of them, the skeliton like creature falling a little ways before he was carried away by the random strong winds that seemed to sweep the center of the metal sphere like a fish out of water in a rollercoaster. squigs watched in terror fearing for its life. "oh dont worry about him, im sure hell be fine," ashford tried to comfort squigs a little bit. the snake like creatures eyes darting towards ashfords with lightning quick reflexes. "its all your fault." he said flatly. "me? whated i do?" ashford replied, still a little bit confused as to how the stoghs homeland and base colony falling from its place, his presence, and the sky flarn falling was connected. "it just is ok? i dont want ot have ot explain my self when were flying about half a million miles about the surface of the planet. the skeliton fell and was carried a long ways from its original homeland and crashlanded into a strange floating castle where a figure shrouded in dark flowing robes and flaring red eyes glared at him. "this had better be good, or im throwing you out the window." the skeleton stood up slowly, not sure how big he actually was. but noticed right away that he was made out of a blue gray steel and had red eyes also. "its about john con-" the skeleton was silenced at once and thrown out the window it had just crashed through. "i have no use for this unmitigated prattle of little men, back to my soaps." Squigs and Ashford had been left on a leftover section of there homeland only fourty miles wide, and ten miles thick. In essence she had left them on an insland with her string of souls that she had been carrying with her up to that point. Cero's explanation of it was that she couldn't afford to lose a random soul to some freak accident like Slim had with one of his that had been formed. "Lazy woman." was all the Ashford had to say to her before being silenced under the glare of Squigs. "Well, for now it seems that this could be a little slice of home. From what i can gather... It doesn't have any mountains on it, just some buildings and a big hill. Ashford, what can you do to help build a colony?" Ahsford looked at his body, the thick blue liquid shimmering in the orange light, giving it a slightly green look to it. The fifteen black orbs that held his body in shape occasionally switching positions as if trying to find the best way to strengthen Ashfords form all together. "I dunno... I haven't had this body for very long, but I suppose I can try something." Squigs sighed as he looked to the north to see a run down looking hotel. The blacked out windows cracked and in someplaces broken out completely, making it look like the building was nothing more then a bunch of hungry mouths, looking for there next meal. Ashford physicaly moved some of the orbs in his arms and hands, but all that happened was they just went back to their place. He tried again with some of the smaller orbs only to find that they wouldn't budge an inch. "This is getting rather irritating." he said to himself as he tried one last time before giving up. "Screw this... Hey, where'd he go?" Squigs was entranced by the hungry looking building. Marveling at the simplicity on the outside, and even more so at the decorative influences of what he saw on the inside from peeking through the door. "Um, Squigs? I don't think this could possibly be our new home." Ashford said in a worried tone. Squigs ignored him, he also ignored the three souls that had formed there bodies to fit together. The first of the three souls had large thick mechanical looking legs, a strong waist, a thin looking enlongated torso and a rather oversized head with three eye holes with one orange eye looking through the center. Ashford was pleased to make another friend, but was punched in the head by the second of the three souls. The second soul looked even stranger then the first. It had short squat legs, two rather large mechanical looking left arms, the right side of its torso was disproportionatley large, with a hole for two right arms, and it had one grey eye that was attached to a rather long tendril. Ashford didn't like this soul at all. The third soul was like a mirror image of the second, but his eye was purple. "WHERE ARE WE!" they shouted in unison, like some trained monkeys in a banana factory. Ashford only too eagerly tried to answer there question. "We are... I dont know we ARE, but I do know where we were!" The three souls looked at each other then back at Ashford. They then turned to the snake looking man in front of them, who seemed to be drooling over a large eery looking building. "OK! where WERE we then?" Ashford jumped up and down excited, the orbs in his body changing places furiosly now to match his level of excitement. But Squigs jumped in before he could open his mouth. "We WERE in the homeland of the Stogh! That part is clear enough to me, my names Squigs, I'm one of the three leaders of the Stogh... Who might you be?"
